Ashley Gibson

Ashley Gibson is a Manager from the Houston, Texas office in Deloitte Advisory, specifically in Financial Transactions. Ashley is from the Accounting & Reporting Transformation group and focuses on a variety of key issues faced by the Controllership function. Ashley has experience with assisting companies to transform their organization into being more proficient, effective, and insightful. This has been achieved through strategic projects devoted to finance transformation assessments, financial close acceleration, IPO readiness, activity analysis, and controls & process improvement.

Previously, Ashley served many clients throughout both internal and external audits. Ashley has served over 60 clients across a variety of industries, including consumer products; process and industrial products; and oil and gas. Ashley focuses on developing optimal and strategic business solutions that align with each client's specific needs.

Ashley graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy with a concentration in Auditing & Accounting Information Systems. Ashley received her MBA from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Ashley is a member of IMA and serves on the Global Board of Directors and the Technology Solution & Practices Committee. Ashley is also a member of the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society within IMA and serves on its Board of Governors.


 

 

Danny M. Goldberg

Danny M. Goldberg is a well-known speaker on internal auditing and People-Centric Skills. Danny co- authored People-Centric© Skills: Communication and Interpersonal Skills for Internal Auditors, via Wiley Publications. This is the first book published specifically to address the wide-ranging topic of communication skills for internal auditors. It has been offered through the IIA and ISACA bookstores since July 2015 and has sold over 3,500 copies.

Danny has over 21 years of professional experience, including five years leading/building internal audit functions. Danny was named as one of the Fort Worth Business Press 40 Under 40 for 2014. He has published numerous articles in trade magazines, including:

This book is authored by renowned audit scholars Curtis C. Verschoor and Mort A. Dittenhofer (co-author of Sawyer’s Internal Auditing).

He is currently member of the Dallas IIA Board of Directors and a former member of the Fort Worth IIA Board (2014-17) and also serves as both the Dallas and Fort Worth IIA Chapter Programs Committee Co-Chair (Fort Worth for the past four years). Danny was also a member of the IIA North America Learning Solutions Committee in 2014.
    Danny is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, Certified in Risk Management Assurance, has obtained his Certification in Control Self-Assessment and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.



 

Bill Jelen

 
Bill Jelen is the host of MrExcel.com and the author of 43 books about Microsoft Excel including Excel Gurus Gone Wild, Pivot Table Data Crunching, and Power Pivot Alchemy. He has made over 80 guest appearances on TV’s Call for Help with Leo Laporte and was voted guest of the year on the Computer America radio show. He writes the Excel column for Strategic Finance magazine and is a contributing editor to CFO Magazine. He has produced over 1800 episodes of his daily video podcast Learn Excel from MrExcel. Bill will entertain you while showing you the powerful tricks in Excel. Before founding MrExcel.com in 1998, Jelen spent twelve years “in the trenches”, as a financial analyst for the accounting, finance, marketing, and operations departments of a publicly held company. Since then, his company automates Excel reports for hundreds of clients around the world. The website answers over 30,000 questions a year – for free – for readers all over the world. Jelen joins us from Akron, Ohio.

Ron Fory is a retired lecturer in Accounting for the University of North Texas at Dallas, and as a guest lecturer at other Executive MBA programs. He has been an international management consultant with a background in controllership in manufacturing, distribution, and not-for-profit industries over the past 25 years.

 

Ron is a frequent presenter at meetings and conferences on fraud prevention and leadership development. He has been a moderator and panelist on many CPE programs for local, regional and national audiences. Most recently, he presented at the IMA Annual Conference, speaking on Strategic Thinking, Fraud Detection and Prevention, and Leadership.

 

His article on “The Art of Leadership” was the cover article for the inaugural edition of the international finance and business journal, Capital.

 

Ron has a baccalaureate degree in Political Science from Park University in Kansas City MO and a graduate degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ron’s professional certification includes CMA, CFM, CFE and CPA.

Jeremy Price

Jeremy Price is a Senior Manager and practice lead for Stinnett & Associates Cybersecurity Consulting & Advisory Services. He has over 20 years of IT experience, focusing on infrastructure technologies business management. Jeremy is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) and an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP). He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA), Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) and InfraGard.
